Delete your learner account when you are ready.
You can request deletion from the authenticated Prepward learner experience. This page explains the steps, timing, and limited information that may need to be retained.
Deletion is separate from a refund. Deleting an account disables access and starts the account-data deletion process. It does not automatically cancel a Stripe, Apple, or Google payment or create a refund.
1. How to request deletion
- Sign in to the learner app using the account you want to remove.
- Open Settings from the learner experience.
- Choose the account deletion control and review the confirmation message.
- Confirm the request only if you understand that access will be disabled.
The request is authenticated against the signed-in learner account. Do not send a password or one-time code by email to request deletion.
2. What happens after the request
When the request is accepted, account access is disabled and the account is queued for deletion. The documented completion window is within 30 days. During that period, we may retain a limited deletion marker and operational information needed to prevent reactivation mistakes, investigate security issues, or complete the deletion process.
Deletion is intended to be permanent. After the process completes, you may need to create a new account if you later return. Creating another account does not restore the deleted profile, plan, progress, notes, flashcards, or access history.
3. What is removed
Subject to the limited exceptions below, the deletion process removes personal learner data associated with the account, including:
- the learner account and authentication data;
- profile, onboarding, diagnostic, daily-plan, and study-progress data;
- practice attempts, answers, bookmarks, notes, flashcards, and review state;
- device, push-notification, offline-package, and queued-synchronisation data;
- learner feedback, usage, operational, and referral data linked to the account; and
- access-grant data and uploaded content owned by the account where the deletion worker can safely remove it.
Some content may be anonymised or unlinked rather than removed when it is needed to preserve the integrity of published content or an audit trail.
4. Limited retained records
Minimal financial, fraud-prevention, legal, or audit records may need to be retained for as long as required by applicable law, payment-provider rules, dispute handling, or legitimate security needs. Retention does not mean that the learner account remains active.
Payment providers and app stores may keep their own transaction records under their own policies. Requesting deletion from Prepward does not delete information held by Stripe, Apple, Google, an identity provider, or your device.
5. If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@barozelabs.com and state that you want to request account deletion. Include the account email only if you are comfortable doing so. We may ask for reasonable information to verify ownership, but we will not ask you to send a password or one-time code.
If the account has a payment or active access issue, support may coordinate with the privacy team. Payment cancellation and refund requests must still be handled through the relevant payment channel; see Refunds and access.
6. Privacy and contact
Read the Privacy Policy for the broader data-handling explanation, including your rights and international processing information. For a deletion request or privacy question, contact privacy@barozelabs.com. For general technical help, use Support.
